Glenorchy City Council has a program to dispose of surplus Council-owned land.

This creates opportunities for private investment and development.

About the program

From time to time, Glenorchy City Council reviews land it owns to determine whether it’s still needed for community or operational use. If not, the Council may lease it to another organisation or sell it — either through a real estate agent, a public process, or directly to a specific party where circumstances warrant (such as a public agency or a project with clear community benefit).

Community Consultation

Public feedback is gathered at multiple stages before any decisions are finalised. You can have your say at letstalk.gcc.tas.gov.au
