Right to Information (RTI)
Under the Right to Information Act 2009 (Tasmania), you have the right to apply for access to documents held by Council.
How to make an RTI application
- Complete the RTI application form (available on the forms page)
- Submit it to Council by email, post or in person
- Pay the applicable fee (fee waiver available in some circumstances)
Council must respond to your application within 20 working days.
What information is available
Some documents are published openly on our website. You only need to make a formal RTI application if the information is not already publicly available.
