Our Community Goals
Glenorchy City Council’s community goals were developed with input from residents, businesses and community groups. They guide our decisions and investment priorities.
Our goals
Our community goals cover five themes:
1. Vibrant, connected community
A city where people feel welcome, connected and proud to live.
2. Healthy and active city
A city that supports the health and wellbeing of all residents.
3. Clean and sustainable environment
A city that protects and enhances its natural environment for future generations.
4. Economic growth and opportunity
A city with a strong economy that creates jobs and supports businesses.
5. Effective and accountable Council
A city where people feel welcome, connected and proud to live.
How we work towards our goals
Using our five community goals and through consultation with our community, we developed our Community Plan.
How we measure progress
We report on our progress against community goals in our Annual Report, quarterly progress reports and through community surveys, which can be found in our documents and publications.
