The Jackson Street Landfill and Recycling Centre is a Council facility where residents and businesses can drop off waste and recyclable materials.

The Centre can be found at 26A Jackson St, Glenorchy; check the dedicated website for current opening hours, which may vary seasonally and on public holidays.
What you can drop off
The facility accepts a range of materials including:
- General household waste
- Green waste (lawn clippings, branches, garden waste)
- Construction and demolition waste
- Hazardous household waste (paint, chemicals, batteries, fluorescent tubes)
- E-waste (computers, TVs, appliances)
- Scrap metal
- Tyres (fees apply)
Fees
Fees apply for most materials. Current fees are available on jacksonstlandfill.com.au.
Some materials are free to drop off (such as recyclable metals and some e-waste).
What is not accepted
The facility does not accept:
- Asbestos
- Clinical or medical waste
- Liquids in large quantities
