The Glenorchy Community Plan is the long-term vision for our city, developed with the community, for the community.

What is the Community Plan?

The Community Plan sets out the community’s vision for Glenorchy over the next 10 years. It was developed through extensive consultation with residents, businesses and community groups.

The Plan guides everything Council does. Our Strategic Plan, Annual Plan and budget must all align with the Community Plan.

What does it cover?

The Community Plan covers themes that the community identified as priorities, including:

  • A vibrant, connected and welcoming community
  • A healthy and active city
  • A clean and sustainable environment
  • Economic growth and opportunity
  • Effective and accountable local government

How was it developed?

The Community Plan was developed through community consultation, including surveys, workshops and public meetings. Thousands of residents contributed their ideas and priorities.

Have your say

The Community Plan is reviewed every four years. When the next review is underway, we will invite the community to participate.
