The General Manager’s Electoral Roll is the official roll of residents eligible to vote in Glenorchy City Council elections.

What is the General Manager’s Electoral Roll?

Under the Local Government Act 1993 (Tasmania), the General Manager maintains a roll of residents who are eligible to vote in Council elections but are not enrolled on the state electoral roll.

Most residents vote using the state electoral roll. The General Manager’s Roll is for people who are eligible to vote in local government elections but are not automatically enrolled through the state roll.

Who is eligible for this roll?

You may be eligible to be on the General Manager’s Roll if you:

  • Are a resident of the Glenorchy municipality
  • Are a property owner or occupier in the municipality
  • Are not already enrolled to vote in Glenorchy through the state electoral roll

Please note that enrolment is not automatic. If you have previously registered but need to update your details, you must re-register using the current forms to ensure your information is up to date.
