Your recycling bin is collected fortnightly on the same day as your general waste bin.

The standard recycling bin has a yellow lid and holds 240 litres.
Find your collection day using tool below by typing your unit and/or street number in first followed by your street name.
Search and select your address for waste collection dates.
What goes in the recycling bin
You can recycle:
- Paper and cardboard — newspapers, magazines, cardboard boxes, office paper (flatten boxes)
- Plastic — bottles and containers (types 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6), clean plastic packaging
- Glass — bottles and jars (any colour)
- Metal — cans, tins, aluminium foil (scrunched into a ball), aerosol cans (empty)
Rinse containers before recycling them.
What does NOT go in the recycling bin
Do not put these in your recycling bin:
- Soft plastics (take to a REDcycle collection point)
- Food scraps
- Nappies, tissues or hygiene products
- Hazardous materials
- Polystyrene
- Drinking glasses, ceramics or window glass
Contamination
Contaminated recycling loads cannot be processed and go to landfill. Please recycle right; check how to recycle for more information.
